Orientation and Intake
Take the steps needed to reach independence with our services. The first step to enrolling is attending an orientation. The orientation sessions are held twice a month. During the orientation, the program advisers explain our programs and services, and the criteria for participation.
When a woman is interested in proceeding and is eligible for service, the program advisor contacts the case worker or counselor to schedule an assessment. This assessment may take several hours.
After the assessment is completed, the staff reviews your information. Reviews can take up to two weeks. When the review is complete, we contact the case worker or counselor by phone or letter to provide the status of enrollment. If the woman is accepted into the program, she is placed on the waiting list or given a move-in date. If rejected, she receives a letter from the advisor with the reason for the decision. She will have the ability to reapply in six months.
